"Got up happy every day we were there, looked out our window and there stood Mt. Hood in all her glory."
Quail Sunrise
The Place
Once covered in old-growth fir, this family farmland has raised potatoes, raspberries, nursery stock, and four generations who love the country life. Because neighboring farmers kept the land in near-original condition, Robert and his wife enjoy the same panoramic splendor today that Pops had in the 1960s when he built this house.
The campsite is surrounded by trees with a seasonal creek. The view of Mt. Hood stretches unobstructed across prime Oregon farmland all the way to the rugged foothills of the Cascades. Less than an hour from 2.5 million people — yet the coyote you hear at night has no idea.
Wake to quail, heron, hawk, and the occasional deer. Pick blackberries from the brambles. Follow the creek-side trail in the morning quiet. This is campfire therapy under the stars.

The Farm in Every Light
Dawn · Establishing Looking south across the meadow toward Mt. Hood. The mountain is visible before the birds start.
Morning · Quail Sunrise Full hookups — electrical and water — and that view straight out your RV door. 48 reviews, 98% recommended.
Morning · Campers Cove A quiet, private grassy field rimmed with tall Colorado Spruce and Red Alders. Boondocking at its best — or choose a pocket site down by the creek.
Midday · The Land Neighboring farmers kept this land in near-original condition. The same view Pops built this house for in the 1960s.
Afternoon · Blackberry Season The brambles are everywhere. Robert says help yourself — and guests do, bringing back enough for blackberry juice by morning.
Late Afternoon · The Meadow Deer show up at the edge of the field around this hour. Quail move through the grass. Heron pass overhead toward the creek.
Afternoon · Creek Trail The seasonal creek runs along the property edge. The trail beside it is the morning walk guests come back for.
Dusk · Campfire Therapy Crickets. Coyote in the distance. The mountain in silhouette. This is what Robert means by "campfire therapy under the stars."
The place is real. The view is real. Robert is waiting.

The Host
Robert and his wife are the fourth generation to work this land. The farm has grown potatoes, raspberries, and nursery stock; now it grows the kind of quiet that's genuinely rare this close to Portland. Robert is attentive at check-in, available if you need him, and otherwise leaves you to it. He'll help you back your rig in, carry firewood if you ask, and point you toward the cut-flower shop up the road with bouquets at prices that make no sense. He wants guests who can hear themselves think.
Year-round · Sandy, Oregon
